The village of Japara, a mere nine kilometres from the pristine
waters of Kintamani Lake, is home to Daftar Situs PelangiQQ. Daftar's affluence
can be easily summed up by the fact that his residence is the only dwelling of
its kind within Japara. Apart from his residence, there are no other signs of
affluence in the village.
Daftar pelangiqq , as the town is also known, was the first inhabited
settlement of Indonesia's famous tourist destination - Kintamani Lake. Most
tourists arrive in this rural town in the morning with little to no prior
knowledge about the place and end up spending a day or two snaking their way
through trails in search of unobtainable picturesque sights.
When it comes to the natural beauty of Pelangiqq, there is only
one word to describe it - splendid. Nature lovers who visit Pelangiqq know very
well just how glorious and intriguing the area is. Beyond the wilderness and
the luscious forests of Japara lies the pristine Kintamani Lake. It is here
that the natives of the village of Pelangiqq live and the way it has come to be
today is an impressive story of perseverance and fortitude.
Another natural wonder of Pelangiqq is that it has remained
relatively untouched by human encroachment. Nature has a way of providing and
preserving the natural bounty that it presents to man. For the people of
Pelangiqq, this is as natural as their existence itself.
Located at the foot of Mount Salak, the beach of Daftar Situs
PelangiQQ is a pristine stretch of sandy beach. This is where Daftar (and his
residence) have to wait for the day when he would return to his cave. Here, he
listens to the water lapping against the rocks.
The undisturbed beauty of the area is not the only striking
aspect of the place. The sheer number of birds is something that cannot be
mentioned in full. It is the fact that a certain bird watcher, unknown to them,
has been scaring away the birds all day by simply gazing at their splendour and
brilliance and then just move on to other more important things in life.
Pelangiqq is also home to the rare species of salt-marsh frog,
the bird-of-paradise (angle umbra), as well as the giant viper fish. Both of
these have been part of the islands flora and fauna for generations.
To sum up, the story of Daftar Situs PelangiQQ is yet another
chapter in the ongoing saga of the humble village of Pelangiqq. The diversity
of the native population is unmatchable and their resilience to the hardships
that they have faced is remarkable.
