In the first of our series of articles about SGP Prize winning numbers, we tackled the three most important numbers in a player's card: the two house number, also called the "card face", and the seven-card sleeve. The card face and sleeve are both printed on a colored background. Most players use the same number for both sleeves and the seven-card sleeve, but some choose to use two different numbers for either. The choice of numbers that players use is a personal choice, but it is interesting to note that this does not mean that they are printed in any way different from each other. They are both printed as they would be if the cards were printed out on normal playing cards.
The next area of importance for players looking to enter in the SGP Prize Hunt is the word or words that follow the numbers on the card. These can appear in one of three ways: in the lower case, between the numbers or at the start of the card. Players need to be aware of these rules as they are part of the normal rules of poker. If the words are printed in a different font, in a different location or above or below the numbers, they will not be deemed "true". Players may still be able to use them, but they will not be considered a valid entry.
Players may also find themselves needing to enter with a number that is in the middle of the pack. A common error for players is to try and match the numbers, which can often lead to disaster because it makes the card harder to read for many players. The solution for this is to check the pack of cards before placing your bet, and then look up the exact middle number you are hoping for in the player's card. The final category is the card with the most numbers, or the Langsung (which is a local dialect of Malay, and sounds much like "lan seeaw"). Winning this contest is determined by the lowest number from either the left hand or right hand side of the Langsung, and in some cases either player may double the number from their card. There are three different styles of play that players can choose from when playing the SGP Prize Hunt, and players may choose a single, a double or a triple game play format to play their Langsung.
Each game format has three different betting rounds, each consisting of two minutes apiece. The first round starts by randomly selecting players from the two teams and the second round starts by selecting randomly from the three teams. Players may stop playing at any time, but only one team must be left in the playing phase. In order for players to have the most chance of selecting a winning number in the Langsung, the entire process must be completed in an even amount of time, which means that all pairs in the first round should come from the same hand selection and all pairs in the second round must come from the same hand selection.
When players win, they receive one point. However, the point earned in each game is limited to five points per game, making them fairly easy trophies to get. The prizes awarded must be kept in mind, as there are many categories of them, and not all of them will necessarily be profitable. In the rare case that a player is not able to get a prize that wins them something, they only lose one point. They can only receive up to ten points if they win their games and lose one point. This rule prevents players from continuously receiving the same prize, which is what would happen if they were to play in the normal version.
